The Doctors:

Dr. Maeve Teehan (MB, BCh, BAO, MICGP, MRCPI, DOWH) – Partner

Dr. Teehan graduated from RCSI in 2001, before going directly into Specialist GP Training with the TCD/HSE GP training program, qualifying in 2006.

She joined Newlands Cross Medical Centre in 2007 and worked alongside the late Dr. Michael Lim. Her areas of special interest are Women’s Health (including Mirena Coil and Implanon insertion) and Paediatrics. Maeve is married and has 2 young children.

Dr. Peter Joyce (MB, BCh, BAO, MICGP) – Partner

Originally from Galway, Dr. Joyce joined the practice in 2018 and entered into a partnership with Dr. Teehan in 2019. He graduated from Medicine in Trinity College Dublin in 2010.

Peter spent a year working in General Medicine in London before coming back to do Specialist GP Training, again at Trinity College Dublin, which he completed in 2016.

He has gained experience working across a range of specialties including General Medicine, Accident and Emergency, Paediatrics, Medicine for the Elderly, Psychiatry and Palliative Care.

Peter is currently involved in teaching undergraduate medical students in Trinity and was appointed as a GP Trainer with the Trinity GP scheme in 2021. He has a particular interest in Men’s Health, Cardiovascular Health, Diabetes and Medical Education.

He is married with and has a new son, born in 2020.

Dr. Rebecca Behan (MB BCh BAO MICGP Dip. Dermatology)

Dr. Behan graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2008. After working in General Medicine in Dublin, she then went on to complete her specialist GP training with the Midlands GP Specialist Training Programme in 2014.

She worked in a GP practice in Meath prior to joining Dr. Teehan and Dr. Joyce at Newlands Cross Medical Centre in early 2020. Her areas of particular interest include Women’s Health, Palliative Care and Dermatology. Rebecca is married with two young children.

Dr. Ana Rogerson (MB, BCh, BAO, MICGP, DRCOG)

Dr. Rogerson graduated from UCD in 2012, before moving to New Zealand to work in general medicine and gynaecology for two years. She completed her general practice training in Dublin in 2019, and joined Newlands Cross Medical Centre in 2020.

She has a special interest in Women’s Health and Paediatrics, and has completed a Professional Certificate in Dermatology.

Dr. Kennedy graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2015 after a career change from Biomedical Engineering. She went on to gain experience in Emergency Medicine, Medicine for the Elderly and General Medicine. She completed Specialist GP Training with the RCSI Dublin North East Scheme in 2022.

She has a diploma in Paediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her particular areas of interest are Women’s Health, Paediatrics and Dermatology. She is married with three children.

Dr Laura Hennessy MB BCh BAO MRCPI

Dr Hennessy graduated from NUIG in 2016 and completed her intern year in Tallaght University hospital before going to Australia for 2 years. While abroad, she worked in emergency medicine and geriatric medicine.
Returned to Ireland in 2019, she went on to complete the St James Hospital Basic Specialist Training and attained the MRCPI qualifications before starting the Trinity GP scheme in 2021. She joined the practice in July 2023 as a GP Registrar.
She has gained experience in range of specialities including general medicine, women’s health, psychiatry, oncology, palliative care and paediatrics. Has a diploma in palliative care and is currently enrolled in community gynaecology diploma with the ICGP.
